I’m Ali, a graphic/web designer with 20+ years’ experience, and the founder of Doodle Space – a relaxed, weekly drawing meetup in Uppingham. I’ve taken that same friendly, no‑pressure approach into schools and youth groups, offering graffiti‑inspired workshops that build confidence and creativity.
What happens in a workshop (60‑90 mins):
Warm‑up: mark‑making games with pens and paper – loosening up, no judgment.
Graffiti lettering basics: how to turn simple letters into bold, stylised forms (no prior drawing experience needed).
Collaborative mural: the group works together on a large roll of paper to create one shared word or phrase using markers and stencils.
Take‑home: every young person leaves with their own A4 graffiti artwork.
Who it’s for:
Ages 10–18
Groups of up to 12 participants (ideal size for hands‑on attention)
Perfect for youth clubs, holiday programmes, or arts weeks
What I provide:
All materials (markers, paper, roll mural paper, stencils)
A DBS‑checked facilitator (in progress – happy to share certificate once received)
Public liability insurance (if required – let me know)
What you provide:
A table/floor space (approx 3m x 2m)
Access to a sink (for cleaning hands – markers are washable but can be messy)
Rates & booking:
£200 per workshop (60‑90 mins) + materials (£40‑80 depending on group size)
Travel: £0 within 10 miles of Uppingham; £1/mile beyond
